Hair Tips

The way your hair feels and looks can affect your mood, your confidence and what other people think about you, so it's best to look after your hair as much as possible!

Tips
  • Avoid touching your hair because the oils in your fingers will go into your hair.
  • Don't wash it too much because then it gets greasy much more quickly.
  • Get your hair trimmed regularly to make it grow faster.
  • Never blow dry where possible. It dries your hair out.
  • Buy the shampoo that's right for your hair type.

Shampooing and conditioning
  • Brush your hair to loosen any dirt and dead skin cells. Make sure you have the right shampoo for your hair type.
  • Wet your hair with lukewarm water and rub a small amount of shampoo into your hair thoroughly. Remember to massage your scalp too.
  • Rinse your hair and wash out all the shampoo. Make sure there are no bubbles or anything left!
  • Pat your hair with a towel to soak up the moisture and to make your hair drier.
  • Rub in some conditioner on top of your head, combing it all right through to the ends.
  • Leave the conditioner on for the recommended time and then rinse off.
  • Rinse your hair in cold water for a few seconds to give it an extra shine.

Hair styles to suit you
  • Diamond shaped face - Choose a style which frames your cheekbones and has fullness around your forehead.

  • Square shaped face - Pick a layered style to soften your jawline. A side parting will help break up the fullness of your face.

  • Long face - Try a short wavy bob around your chin line. A fringe is good because it will make your face appear shorter.

  • Heart-shaped face - Have a fairly short cut with fullness at the crown but lying flat around your cheeks.

  • Round face - Go for a layered fringe that won't look too heavy on your face. Choose styles that give your hair height.

  • Oval - Choose a style that flatters your great cheekbones. Or at least go for long hair and keep it off your face.
